Varian Turbo-V 301 Navigator Turbomolecular Vacuum Pump with Integrated Controller

Condition: Refurbished
In Stock

The Varian Turbo-V 301 Navigator is a highly efficient, mid-capacity turbomolecular vacuum pump engineered for demanding high- and ultra-high vacuum (UHV) applications. This listing represents a fully integrated vacuum solution, featuring the specialized, compact Navigator Controller attached directly to the base of the pump chassis. This "plug-and-pump" configuration minimizes laboratory rack footprint, drastically simplifies cabling, and optimizes system space.

Equipped with Varian's proprietary MacroTorr® dynamic staging technology, the Turbo-V 301 delivers exceptional compression ratios for light gases alongside an impressive foreline tolerance up to 18 mbar. This high tolerance allows the system to operate efficiently using significantly smaller backing/primary dry or rotary vane pumps. The rotor assembly utilizes permanently lubricated ceramic ball bearings, eliminating the need for routine oil reservoirs or wick maintenance, guaranteeing 100% hydrocarbon-free operation with zero risk of backstreaming molecular contamination.

Key Features

  • Fully Integrated Navigator Controller: Factory-attached electronic drive unit provides immediate direct operation via RS-232/RS-485 serial communication or remote analog I/O without requiring separate rack controller space.

  • Patented MacroTorr® Staging: Maximizes throughput and dramatically extends backing pressure tolerance, allowing pairing with compact primary pumps (like the dry SH-100 or DS 102).

  • Maintenance-Free Ceramic Bearings: Permanently dry-lubricated ceramic bearings minimize friction, lower thermal profiles, and deliver an extended mean time to failure (MTTF).

  • True Omnidirectional Installation: The contact-free internal tolerance and advanced dry balancing allow the pump assembly to be mounted and operated securely in any physical orientation.
