Pfeiffer TCP 380 Turbo Molecular Pump Controller

Part Number: PMC01680
Condition: Refurbished
In Stock

The Pfeiffer TCP 380 (Part Number: PM C01 680) is a microprocessor-controlled electronic drive unit and power supply engineered to operate classical Pfeiffer / Balzers TPH, TPU, and TMH series turbomolecular vacuum pumps. Featuring automated parameter recognition, the TCP 380 utilizes internal programming resistances to automatically identify the connected turbo pump model and set the appropriate operational thresholds for rated and maximum rotational speeds.

The front panel provides direct manual controls and real-time LED diagnostics for tracking motor temperature, housing temperature, oil flow, pump speed, and drive current. It also features an integrated Standby Mode, which lowers the turbopump speed to 66% of its rated RPM to reduce bearing wear, lower operating noise, and conserve energy during system idle periods.

  • TPH / TPU Series: TPH/TPU 110, TPH/TPU 140, TPH/TPU 170, TPH/TPU 180H, TPH/TPU 190, TPH/TPU 240, TPH/TPU 270, TPH/TPU 330, TPH/TPU 450H, TPH/TPU 510, TPH/TPU 520, TPH/TPU 520M, TPH/TPU 1500

  • TMH / TMU Series: TMH/TMU 520, TMH/TMU 260

Key Features & Lab Benefits

  • Automatic Pump Recognition: Microprocessor automatically detects the pump model via coding resistors in the interconnect cable, preventing overspeed errors and improper power delivery.

  • Comprehensive Telemetry: Continuously monitors oil flow and thermal conditions to protect both the drive electronics and the pump rotor from over-temperature damage.

  • Standby Mode Operation: Reduces rotational speed to 66% during idle times, significantly extending bearing service life and lowering lab noise levels.

  • Universal Mains Supply: Auto-sensing 100–240 VAC input simplifies installation across international power standards without manual transformer rewiring.
